RTE 1001 Application
Turn your desire to help others by using technology into a fulfilling career in the medical field. Earn a radiologic technologist degree at Aims and get a job working as a radiologic technologist at a medical office, clinic or hospital.
Before you start your journey to becoming a Radiologic Technologist, you'll need to apply to RTE 1001. Please read the instructions below before applying.
Application Instructions
Submission Window: Although the application is now open, applications will not be accepted if time-stamped with an August date. Applications will only be accepted between September 1st through September 15th of 2026. Submissions will be processed in the order they are received, based on the application's timestamp. Applications submitted earlier or later than this timeframe will not be processed.
Applicant Requirements: Before applying, please ensure you have the following:
- - Minimum 3.0 GPA (Rad Tech prerequisite classes only)
- - Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you've attended, including Aims (don't need to be official)
- - Proof of first Hepatitis B vaccine
- - Proof of Direct Patient Care experience (optional for increased 0.5 point application boost)
- - Course Challenge/Accuplacer documentation, if applicable
Only one application submission is permitted per application cycle. If you encounter technical difficulties while completing or submitting your application, please contact erin.miyoshi@aims.edu. Please preview your application before submission, as you will not be able to make changes upon submission.
Confirmation of Receipt: Upon successful submission, applicants will receive an email confirmation. This email serves as an acknowledgment of receipt and confirms that the application has been received. This email will not state whether the application was completed correctly, eligible, or processed.
If a confirmation email is not received, applicants are responsible for contacting erin.miyoshi@aims.edu to inquire about their application submission by the September 15th deadline.
Notification of Acceptance: All applicants will receive notification in their Aims email by October 31st, notifying them of their acceptance status for RTE 1001 Spring 2027. Students who accept their invitation to start RTE 1001 in Spring 2027 will be required to attend a mandatory orientation in late November or early December. Details will be included in the acceptance letter.
Application Completeness: Any missing information will render the application ineligible, and it will not be processed. Any incorrect information will result in a 0.5 point deduction in the final ranking score for each offense.
